Knuckles Mountain Range Hiking day
tour can be another wonderful experience you get in Sri Lanka. We conduct day
tours and hiking tours as well. If you are up to a challenging hike, you can
join our day tour to unseen knuckles. Usually, we pick up you from the hotel by
7 AM if you are around Kandy.
From there, we will be driving to
Hunnasgiriya and from there you get to travel a few miles through the spice
gardens and pygmy forests to the starting point. This trek is about 16km round
trip to a beautiful waterfall. It goes through a beautiful landscape. You are
advised to wear comfortable clothes and hiking shoes for this route. In
addition, leech socks or leech repellent is really important.
The Knuckles Mountain Range is one of
the best hiking routes in Sri Lanka, as you can dip into a nice natural
pool end of the trek. It has seven peaks and a few waterfalls as well. But in a
day tour, we can only cover one peak with a waterfall. On your way, you can see
several animals such as Deer, Barking deer, Bear monkey and various types of
Lizards and butterflies. Also, don't forget about the birds. In the knuckles
mountain Range, you can see most of the endemic birds in the country. Better to
pack your binoculars!
